On Call 24 hours, 365 days of the year.

Merseyside Lowland Search and Rescue is a Full Member Team of Lowland Rescue, working hand in hand with Merseyside Police to deliver highly specialised search capability and state-of-the-art equipment to locate high-risk, vulnerable and missing people across Merseyside. As part of a national network of 36 Lowland Rescue teams, we stand ready to support operations both locally and across the UK whenever we are called upon. We are proud to be based at the Emergency Services Training Centre in Twelve Quays, Birkenhead, and are grateful for their continued support in hosting our operational base.

At the heart of our organisation is an outstanding team of volunteers. Drawn from a wide range of backgrounds and professions, they bring skill, experience and an unwavering commitment to saving lives. Our volunteers train to a high standard, give their time selflessly, and embody the values of professionalism, teamwork and compassion.

As a registered charity, we are immensely proud of both our operational and non-operational volunteers, whose efforts extend beyond the field through fundraising and community engagement across Merseyside. Their dedication, resilience and belief in our mission make a real and lasting difference to the people and communities we serve.

We receive no government funding.

Every search we carry out is made possible by the generosity of our supporters. Donations fund vital medical equipment, specialist search kit and training, ensuring our volunteers can respond quickly when vulnerable and missing people need us most.

Every pound goes directly towards saving lives and bringing loved ones home.

Our charity is managed by an elected Management Team & Trustees
